Marion County has identified the Marion Oaks community, in southwest Marion County, as a priority project area for water main extensions.

The Marion Oaks Water Main Extension Project encompasses 2,537 acres & is comprised of approximately 4,909 lots, of which 1,345 are improved with 339 of those lots having private wells.

This project will include all of Marion Oaks north & east of County Road 484 as well as south of the Greenway for all areas that require design & construction of a water distribution system. Improvements are anticipated to impact abutting roads to the project area.

This project is in the beginning stages of engineering design & surveying.
